GSO CONTRIBUTIONS DURING THE CURRENT PANDEMIC
In line with the current world situation of COVID-19, Gulf Standards Organization GSO has issued 3 new standards for Sanitizers, Disinfectant and Face Masks requirements.
The mentioned standards are adopted from EN standards and listed as GSO EN 1499:2020, GSO EN 1500:2020, GSO EN +14683:2020AC
FREE STANDARDS BY THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
In accordance with their support global efforts in dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, International Standards Organization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Gulf Standards Organization (GSO) have published fifty-four FREE-TO-READ standards.

OFFICIAL DISCUSSION ON ‘’ONE YEAR DELAY FOR THE EXPO 2020’’

The Coordinating Committee of the GCC Commissioners at Expo Dubai held an extraordinary meeting via visual communication, on Monday 27 April 2020.
This is to discuss aspects related to the one-year delay in opening the Expo 2020 Dubai, based on the proposal of Facilitation and Recommendation Committee of the Executive Committee of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).
The meeting was attended by HE Khalid Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, GCC's Expo 2020 Commissioner-General, where they discussed a number of issues related to postponing the opening date of the Expo Dubai.
As well as, the proposals submitted by the government of the United Arab Emirates for the new date for the opening of the Expo Dubai from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, as each participating country presented its vision and orientations regarding the priorities to plan to prepare for the pavilions the coming period.
They agreed to continue the cooperation, coordination and holding meetings in a manner that guarantees the achievement of the common goals for successful participation in the Expo Dubai.
