UNCOMPLIANT HAND SANITIZER IN THE KINGDOM
With such a great effort in time, Saudi Foods and Drugs Authority (SFDA) has kept their eyes more open on all products sold inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With more care about the hand sanitizers whose quantities and variety has been raised lately.
SFDA has warned, suspended and withdrawn around 17 brands and products of hand sanitizer from the Kingdom markets, around 80% of the withdrawn products are made by Saudi factories, where one product is Turkish and two are unknown origin.
The reasons of the warnings vary from non-registration, to high percentage of Methanol, or less Ethanol or Isopropanol, and sometimes the false and misleading information on the labels.
